This post is going to skip all over the place with no particular subject, hence the title.
First, notice at the side that I have an image you can click on. When you click on the image, it'll take you directly to my flickr page (flickr is an internet photo sharing site). I got the flickr account so that I can post pictures of the baby when she comes and it'll go directly on the blog. I can post more pictures that way, so all of you great readers can see our peanut when she enters the world.
Speaking of, little miss karate has been going at it in my belly quite a bit lately. She played a major role in my sleepless night last night. And, for the first time in this pregnancy, I woke up STARVING (at 9:30), so I had to go get a bowl of cereal at about 11 p.m. when I finally decided that just lying there wouldn't make the hunger go away. I don't want to make a habit of eating during the night, but it was necessary last night. I never really got back to sleep because the cereal made her boogie even more so I'm a freekin' zombie today. I'm going over to my friend's pool to swim laps again today...which I've done quite a bit now and it feels GREAT. Hopefully that'll wake me up a bit.
The countdown is on for our vacation. We leave a week from tomorrow and I seriously don't know if I can wait. Just to get back to northern Michigan where it is so beautiful it just gets our feathers all going in the right direction as soon as we step off the plane, is what we both need right now. We're staying in a small fishing village (called Leland) at a B&B for the first two nights and then it's off to the little cabin on Grand Traverse Bay for a week. Ahhhh. It's so wonderful. Of course I'll post lots of pictures on flickr when we get back.
Oh, and one more random thought: the Philadelphia Soul arena football team won the national championship this past weekend. If you aren't from Philly, know that there has been quite a championship drought in this city since the 80s. No major sports team has brought home a title since. Key word: major. The Soul fans (all 25 of them) and owners are claiming that the drought is over...Philadelphia now has a title...blah blah blah. Well, that's just plain crap. The proof is in the video from the night the team came back to town...there were dozens of fans at the airport, not hundreds as there would've been had major team won a title. Heck, they can't even sell out the arena for home games! So, Jon Bon Jovi (the owner of the team), your success is with your music, your team doesn't matter to this city, unless you buy the Phillies, Sixers, Eagles or Flyers.
