Cable Catastrophe

In the coming months we're going to have a lot of visitors...and my mom (God bless her) is planning to stay with us a couple of weeks after the baby is born. So, we (I) decided it would be more comfortable for the guests if we had cable TV in the guest room. So yesterday, I waited the designated 11am-1pm time slot and the cable guys showed up at 3 minutes to 1 to add cable to the room. They were great guys and were in and out in an hour. I wish it would have ended there.

As most of you know, I'm a big time creature of habit....so when I went upstairs to get ready for bed and watch the same shows I watch to put me to sleep each evening, I flipped on the TV only to find that they had accidentally disconnected the rest of the upstairs cable. Irritated, I called Comcast (mind you this was at 4:40 p.m.). I politely explained the situation to the person on the phone who got a supervisor on the line. She said that they could come out maybe Thursday or Friday to fix the problem. WHAT? Unacceptable! I know I'm irrational right now, but come on! So, the nice supervisor said she could dispatch the crew back later in the evening. Stubborn me said yes. So, at 7:30 when they showed up, it was a quick fix and they were gone by 8...so I went to bed and flipped on the TV to find that the picture is grainy. Ugh. So, they've got to come back out again.

Naturally, I'm exhausted today and I know, I know...it's my fault. And now I'm going to have to deal with them again cuz oh yeah, they left some tools behind also. Whatever.

As for the peanut, she's doing her normal gymnastics in my belly which is getting quite large by the way...maybe this weekend we'll take another picture to show off my girth. I've noticed a few things the last week or so. First, I'm now almost ALWAYS out of breath at the weather wall...I end most of my reports panting...kinda funny. Also, I noticed this especially yesterday while doing the dinner dishes: my belly is preventing me from standing close to the sink so I'm splashing water EVERYWHERE! It's kinda funny and...I bet in the very near future, I'll get out of doing the dishes all together! Tee hee.
